Banana Bark
A perfect example of converting “Waste To Wealth”. Banana bark was previously considered a waste material after the tree is cut down when harvesting banana fruits.
The bark can be processed into different forms such as single twists, double twists and sheets for weaving baskets.
In 2021, approximately 8.67 million metric tons of bananas were produced in Indonesia. The country is one of the world’s biggest banana producers.
